Talking about Christopher Columbus - MSN Encarta Premium

Quote  Encarta vaguely mentions the brutality of Columbus and his men. Why does this mass murderers hero status have to be maintained? For fun, his men would line up the children of my people, the Caribe Indians, and see how many they could cut in half with one swing of thier swords. They preyed on these innocent, defenseless people to near extinction like wild animals. Not much is known of the Caribes because of thier destruction before a written history could be compiled. What I do know is they ruled the Carribean and are given credit for inventing the hammock. I have also been told that one of my ancestors was a tribal chief on the island of Puerto Rico.

I think I am going to start doing research into them and start adding what I find to my myspace site, which I will have a link to from this site, soon.

Columbus... a hero, I think not, unless you think Hitler and Abe Lincohn a hero, too. Abe's another twisted history hero.
